Besides being touched by this brother and sisters enjoyment of each other, I was moved by this mothers request. She wanted a nice photo of herself, to give to her daughter. Something that she remembers having of her mother when she was a young girl. In the busyness of raising young children, providing the comforts of home and family life, it is all too often that moms are also trying to capture those they love around them. Leaving few moments of being in a photo themselves. Photos are an incredible gift, aiding our memories of moments that happened sometime before now. Remembering our children how they were through their childhood is something we want as parents, so why wouldn't our children want to remember us during this time, after all, we were there too.
